Marmoset render

Here is the model from the art test, rendered out in Marmoset. Marmoset takes models in triangles, but the fbx format did not take well to the texture though so it automatically set a grey lambert on it.

36 hour art test

My game modeling class was given a 36 hour art test . It was the first time I had ever taken an art test. The assignment has brought up my speed. Below is the image given and underneath, high poly and low poly model, a bit over 4000 tris.

Increasing poly count

The poly budget for this assignment was 5000, so I went about looking for more places to add detail.

The main places polys were added were the doors (now have handles), and the wheels. The poly tris are now 4774. Still room to add more geometry.

Low poly mobile generator

Building up a low poly model of the mobile generator. The outlined areas in green will be functional doors. Features from other mobile generators that I saw were added to the original model.

The polycount tris came to 2656.
